Kurzweil 3000

The programs allows users to map ideas with graphic organizers, check spelling, practice spelling and use the word prediction features. You can download Kurzweil 3000 on your personal computer by following the steps below:

  1. Login to your MyMCC account.
  2. Select the "Campus Resources" tile.
  3. Select the "Disability Services" tile. 
  4. Select the "Downloading Kurzweil 3000 Directions". 
  5. Follow the downloading instructions. 

For MAC users, please refer to the Kurzweil 3000 website for the step-by-step downloading information and select the "Web License Edition Installation Guide". If you need assistance accessing the installation guide, please contatct Kurzweil Education Customer Support. Reach out to our office if you need assistance creating a username or password. 

Read&Write

Read&Write is text-to-speech software program to support with reading passages, documents, and online content. The program can also be used for writing support with the built-in spell check feature and dictation tool. Users can also turn spoken words into text. 

You can download the software as an extension on Google Chrome, to your Windows PC or Mac computer.

  1. Login to your MyMCC account
  2. Select the "Campus Resources" tile. 
  3. Select the "Disability Services" tile. 
  4. Select the "Downloading TextHelp Directions (Read&Write and Equatio)

How to Access Writing Programs on Campus Computers:

Current students can access Kurzweil 3000 on campus computers by following the steps below:

1. Login to a student computer.
2. Select the "Accessible Resources" folder on the desktop.
3. Click on "Kurzweil 3000" icon.
